Our 2011 Emcee will be Tom Hayes

Tom Hayes - is the co-anchor of the new CityNews @ 5 on Citytv. Tom is also a long time resident of Pickering and a former board member of the Rouge Valley Health System Foundation. A graduate of the University of Toronto with a degree in Sociology, Tom started his career at Scarboro Cable with stops in Barrie and at CTV. Tom is a recipient of the Edward R Murrow Award, well as an RTNDA award.
Tom's investigative work on date rape changed Ontario's liquor laws - that would not allow people to take their drinks into a bar washroom -leaving the drinks susceptible to tampering. The Ontario Government called the new law - "The Hayes Amendment"
